A Star Trek DM Screen

This is another Illustration I made for the Star Trek RPG by Modiphius Entertainment. The strange aspect ratio is due to the fact that it went on a Dungeon Master Screen, which is roughly three (or four?) A4 sheets side by side.
I usually find it awkward to draw on this ratio, but in this case it worked.

This piece in particular had a lot of firsts.
I made the asteroid field entirely on Blender with geometry nodes, which was a first for me.
I made the textures on the rocks with procedural bump maps, which was a first for me.
I made the planet entirely in Blender with an actual clouds system, which was a first for me.
And finally, I generated the background with a procedural HDRI background nebula, which was a first for me and probably the last, as I followed a tutorial I can't find it anymore and I will never remember how I did it:)

Anyway, this was just to set up a base to work on (and possibly iterate, change camera if needed etc).
Painstaking painting followed, as usual with Krita.

My final was a lot less saturated, but given its purpose it needed to be a lot flashier, so Saturation Layers ensued.
Thanks to AD Ariel Orea!

Ah, the Enterprise depicted is the NCC-1701 from the Strange New Worlds series.
Which, by the way, is the best Star Trek series of the past 20 years and damn it I'm ready to die on this hill.
