In 2020 - if I remember correctly - I worked for a few months at Avakin for Lockwood Interactive, which got me to draw a billion concepts for environment kits and all that.
We did a lot of pitches, some of which were approved and made it into the game, while - as it happens with pitches 99% of the times - most of them were not.
In this case I was tasked to come up with the general art direction of this environment (which I think was indeed modeled and published, although probably not in this form).
In the context of our pipeline at the moment, this meant designing a bunch of kits, providing a general direction for the level, and then a few examples and guidelines as to how those kits should be put together.
